RTM completed the MEP/FP system design of a 67-unit affordable housing development for low-income families and individuals. This was the first phase of a complete redevelopment of Grove Parc Plaza, a distressed 504-unit Section 8 complex that was demolished in phases and is being rebuilt as a mixed-income community over a four-year construction period.
The two buildings of the project received LEED Platinum and Energy Star certifications. Due to the praise of the community and the local office of HUD, the developer received a $30.5 million dollar grant to finish the development. RTM also provided MEP/FP engineering for three additional phases: the Resource Center, The Grant at Woodlawn Park, and The Burnham.
This is just one success story of RTM’s residential portfolio. Other past projects include residences in urban and rural areas, high rises and mid-rises, and specialty housing, such as affordable developments. To learn more about RTM’s residential projects, visit www.rtmassociates.com/residential.
