RTM provided MEP/FP engineering services and pre-design studies to develop a budget and control costs for a multi-phase project at an existing water reclamation facility. The scope included an oversight of maintenance work of the electrical systems, electrical system studies and new upgrades for the wastewater treatment facility.
RTM partnered with ERMCO electrical contractors for the preliminary study of the existing electrical distribution system at the facility; this included a cable study and analysis, and a system maintenance concept.
This reclamation facility treats water to remove solids and impurities for purposes such as sustainable landscaping irrigation as well as commercial and industrial water needs. A risk mitigation study was completed to determine the impacts of a disaster and possible recovery methods during a maintenance work project for the electrical systems.
To ensure coordination between the plant and the contractors on site, RTM conducted night-time site observations throughout the maintenance phase of the project.
RTM’s expertise allowed successful project completion within schedule, which allowed a larger plant upgrade to take place.
