RTM Engineering Consultants continues to strive to serve clients nationwide and in all of their office locations. The Quad Cities office located in Davenport, IA, is no exception.
This past summer, RTM continued to expand into the Iowa market with a joint venture with Innovative Engineering, Inc., to combine resources with the Davenport office to better serve current and future clients in Iowa and the Midwest.
1. What is one advantage clients have working with the Quad Cities office?
RTM, being a multi-state company, brings experience and perspective from other cities and jurisdictions, as well as different climates, which help with problem solving. Many clients want to work with someone locally who understands their needs on a daily basis, but can bring experience and consulting to them. RTM’s Quad Cities office consists of a boutique MEP team that focuses on local clients’ needs while maintaining a strong relationship with RTM’s other offices to brainstorm unique challenges on projects to give the best design options to the client. Broad knowledge and experience on a local level is the key advantage of RTM’s Quad Cities office.
2. What was one of the most interesting projects Quad Cities has done?
The most interesting project the Quad Cities office has done is a medical office building with an ASTC surgical wing attached to it located in DeKalb, IL. This project involved a floor of offices, a floor of patient exam rooms, and a separate wing with four operating rooms, patient recovery, intake area, clean rooms, and labs. The project was fast paced, tight on budget, and integrated multiple design facets to meet the client demands.
3. What is one interesting fact about the culture at the Quad Cities office?
The Quad Cities culture is very much like RTM’s other offices in which the work hard play hard atmosphere is the setting. The Quad Cities office holds billiard games for breaks and team comradery. Studio outings help build the team’s relationships, which is necessary to create a solid group that seamlessly juggles multiple projects at once.
