CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

CAD DESIGNER / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Location: Schaumburg, IL / Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX

Position overview: Exercise team collaboration and provide cross function support to entire studio to ensure proper project execution on all levels. Provides project setup support in the preparation of CAD drawings and project floor plans as well as basic adjustments to existing designs in the form of added red lines, schedules, and title blocks. Provides administrative support and organization for the team and the projects.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a graphical QAQC of the entire set of plans including but not limited to: Sheet numbering style: fonts, north arrow correctness & matching styles, sheet titles and title block are uniform and match architectural sheets when possible, PDF’s plot in correct sheet limits, PDF’s utilize correct line types (CTB), all scales, Vports match
  • Work with studio head/PM and communicate with client to coordinate expected delivery dates, times and title block information
  • Accurately distribute and track deadlines and status of code reviews, RFI’s, plan changes and ship drawings
  • Assist team in setting up book specifications including fonts, headers, footers, legends, editing markups and delivery of documents
  • Conduct vital code investigation for new projects including data from websites and verbal municipal verification
  • Accurately and timely sets up engineering sheets for assigned projects.
  • Accurately and timely updates title blocks, floor plans, and CAD drawings in accordance with required specifications and project parameters.
  • Accurately and timely plots, stamps and prepares documents to be sent to client after thoroughly examining documents for completion and neatness.
  • Assists Engineers with project parameters for assigned Engineering projects.
  • Accurately and timely write and send proposals when clients send an RFP.
  • Professionally engages with clients throughout the duration of the project to create a positive working relationship.
  • Actively participates in weekly studio meetings to ensure proper cross function coordination.
  • Timely determination of priorities, taking ownership of tasks and exhibit a high level of initiative and follow through.
  • Assists in the preparation of other documents relating to a project with enthusiasm and professionalism, including but not limited to: RFI’s , shop drawings, proposals, additional service requests, waivers, COI’s, marketing materials

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER III

Location: Orlando, FL / Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX

Position Overview: Applies electrical design knowledge, skill and ability to create construction drawings for the project owner and provides continuous professional support throughout the entire construction process. Serves as the primary liaison responsible for coordination and communication activities between the design team and the client/customer and provides Project Management oversight and professional support throughout the entire construction process.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides complete management of project timelines and related design activity communication between the design team and the client/customer, accurately & timely
  • In accordance with company standards, provides assistance in the preparation of accurate and complete proposals and engineering agreements

  • Creates construction plumbing documents for permitting that are accurate and complete

  • General knowledge of fire protections systems for coordination of water service, sprinkler system types and writing scope specifications

DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Position Overview: Responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to keep team members productive and information secure at all times. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for identifying and resolving root cause issues and solving day to day hardware and software support issues. Also serves as liaison between offices regarding IT issues and our outside IT consultant.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain IT documentation
  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines
  • Provide onsite and remote support for users in headquarters and all branch offices
  • Install software, patches, and updates on desktops, laptops and servers
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and replace hardware on desktop and laptop PC’s
  • Install and configure new hardware and software
  • Perform desktop maintenance, resolving problems; assist with printer/fax/copier maintenance
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Office products, other desktop software, and assist with phone systems
  • Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
  • Add, remove and update user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
  • Answer technical queries
  • Troubleshoot reported problems
  • Recommend and/or perform upgrades on systems to ensure longevity
  • Assess functional needs to determine specifications for purchases. Work with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software. Order computer supplies.
  • Serve as liaison between offices to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
  • Present technical information in understandable form for non-technical recipients
