EVERETT MCKINLEY DIRKSEN FEDERAL BUILDING - GSA Chicago, Illinois RTM designed all MEP systems, per GSA standards, for the three story renovation in the Dirksen Federal building. With 135,000 square feet, the project scope included tenant improvement design for the US Attorney and US Trustee's offices. The 9th floor is expected to receive LEED® CI Silver Certification. Sustainable features include lighting: occupancy sensors and high efficiency fixtures; HVAC: zoned sensors and high efficiency fixtures; HVAC: zoned heating/cooling with individual temperature controls and carbon dioxide monitors to improve air quality and energy efficiency through demand-controlled ventilation.
